Hydrochoride (Librium)*
- anti-anxiety; anti-convulsant; Divalproex Sodium (Depakote) - anti-convulsant Gabapentin (Neurontin) - anti-convulsant Phenytoin (Dilantin) - anti-convulsant Sertraline (Zoloft) - anti-depressant Heroin/Methadone/Hydrocodone/Oxycotin/Vicodin Detox Clonidine (Catapres) - anti-hypertensive *NOTE: The Cornerstone generally does not permit clients to use narcotics, opioids, or benzodiazepines in its facilities at any time. However, in light of the anti-convulsant action of Chlordiazepoxide (Librium) and because of the life threatening potential associated with alcohol/benzodiazepine detoxification, the decision was made to except it from this policy on a taper or titrate order (deceasing daily dosages over a limited time). Healthcare Providers: The Cornerstone welcomes the opportunity to discuss our Detox Medication Policy with you. Please call Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm at (530) 275-5622.
ACCEPTABLE MEDICATIONS FOR TREATMENT As noted above, The Cornerstone does not permit narcotics, opioids, or benzodiazepines to be used in its facilities at any time. However, there is a wide range of medications prescribed for medical or psychiatric conditions that are permitted at The Cornerstone. Please contact us directly to discuss the particulars of specific medications. |
